Before

After

First, we painted my babies pretty purple and pink walls a light creamy yellow. Honeysuckle white Behr with the primer mixed in. Then the hubs ripped up all the hot pink carpet that I fell in love with 3 years ago, sanded down the floors- including the pink and green spots that we spilled when we painted the first nursery. Put a couple of coats of stain down and gloss! Then I found my vintage-y metal bed at Big Lots, tables at Hobby Lobby, and that wall art I got for $12.00 a piece at Menards! The rug, came from Home Depot! It's not totally done, we still need curtains and wall art but I love it so far!

Nursery

After months of waiting, we finally found out we were having a boy and this is where my nesting kicked in! We revamped this room totally, originally it was mine and my husband's room before babies. But now that the babies are here, we switched! This entailed, lots of painting, new furniture, and most organization! I wanted to have a very classic nursery, obviously not too much of a boys room but not have flowers plastered everywhere either! I think I met my goal, perfectly!

Projects: DIY night light, painting, SUPER easy closet door, DIY roll shades, and creativity all over the place!

Since we are cramming two babies into a very small room organization was key. Every drawer is organized for his and hers, both kids have containers under their beds for extra supplies, barbies, and shoes. Inside of the closet I put a 9 cube organizer from Target with cloth bins for toys, and the top of the closet is dedicated to extra diapers, blankies, and a container for clothes that are too small. This bin is amazing, through 3 years I've struggled with the constant cycle of outgrown clothes, to the point that often I caught myself throwing them away to get rid of the clutter! But with a container especially dedicated to "too small" clothes, its so much better!

Im in love with this quote, from the greatest kids book ever. :) Check out the little boots too!! <3

Hudson's side! This time around I wanted to do without the bumpers, for obvious safety reasons. SIDS is very real, and very scary. So I put a plain chocolate brown crib sheet with a few throw pillows that will be obviously removed when we add baby but still make it look very decorative for when he is not in it! I added the plain white crib skirt too, after searching for weeks and not finding what I wanted I decided to make it myself.

Instructions
First: Buy 2 yards of plain white cotton fabric, cheap-o kind is fine! Buy velcro self adhesive dots, and iron on tape! THATS IT!

Second: measure out the length of the crib and the height at the highest setting. cut the fabric to fit, then to hem the edges this is where the iron on tape kicks in! Make yourself a little folded up hem on 3 out of 4 edges, I didn't do my top portion. then just stick the velcro where you wanted on the metal spring portion of the crib, and the other side onto the fabric.

Third: Attach!!

SO EASY! And No sewing involved!

My DIY night light

First: take a plain white canvas. $5 MAYBE at Hobby Lobby.
Second: Paint, I did an ombre effect with yellow and green.
Third: poke holes in canvas with either a knife and stick clear lights through! I got a pack of 50 white string lights, some were extras but they just dangle down the back of the dresser.
DONE! <3 it! :)

Brenna's Side! <3 how girly it is. but it still matches Hudson's side perfect!
My mommy area! :)
